Ana + Brad | Historic Rice Mill

Ana and Brad met in college, when they both attended Clemson University. It was there where they became really great friends and after a few years of friendship, Brad finally built the courage to ask Ana out on a date, and the rest, well, is history!

Both Ana & Brad are South Carolina natives -- Brad growing up in Greenville, South Carolina and Ana growing up in Columbia, the two knew when they moved to Charleston, they wanted to host their wedding in Charleston, too, as it was their new home. When Ana first contacted me back in February, she hadn't selected a venue yet. She had her eyes set on many, many venues, but needed help narrowing down what would work best for her budget, guest count & a few other factors. After some back and forth, she decided to host her wedding reception at The Historic Rice Mill, after exchanging vows at the Circular Congregational Church.

The day began with Ana and her sister and best friend getting ready at a cute AirBnB. They shared memories about the day while Pampered & Pretty glammed the girls up and got them photo ready. Ana, who's family is Macedonian, decided to wear her mother's wedding dress, that fit her so eloquently. Truly a very special part in their wedding ceremony.

Ana & Brad met at the church, where they exchanged a first look before guest began arriving. The ceremony began and the room was filled with Brad & Ana's loved ones, all traveling near and far to see the happy couple tie the knot.

Once the ceremony concluded, guests hopped onto the Lowcountry Loop Trolley and headed to the wedding reception to begin enjoy passed appetizers & drinks during cocktail hour while Ana & Brad took more portraits.

Ana and Brad finished up some beautiful portraits outside of the ceremony location with Zac Green Photography, and quickly headed to The Historic Rice Mill to join up with friends and family and kick start the party! MoTown Throwdown began with bridal party introductions and quickly shifted into first dances before the dinner service began.

Guests mingled, danced and drank the night away while celebrating Ana & Brad's special day. The tables were filled with lush greens & white and blush blooms created by Moonlight Iris Floral. One of my favorite parts of the evening -- the Groom's cake! A massive Clemson stadium cake that surely made a statement when guests walked through the doors! Sweet Rhi did an incredible job not only re-creating this master piece, but also, transporting the large cake to the venue, safely.

The couple concluded the night with guests sending them off to their new life as newly weds with streamer exit, that everyone seemed to have enjoyed.

Ana and Brad, thank you for letting me a part of your special day. It was so great learning about the two of you as individuals and as one, and it was even better meeting your family and friends on your wedding day. I wish you nothing but the best in your future.
